    This recipe comes from Prevention Magazine. It was about how to boost your fat burn. Green tea gives your metabolism an extra jolt and so give this a try for those of you who are breakfast skippers. Or for those of us who just like these flavor combinations:-)

    Ingredients:

    • 177.44 ml water
    • 2 green tea bags (brew tea the night before to save time in the morning)
    • 473.18 ml blueberries, fresh or frozen
    • 3 ice cubes
    • 340.19 g non-fat vanilla yogurt
    • 29.58 ml almonds, whole dry-roasted, unsalted (about 20)
    • 29.58 ml flax seeds, ground

    Directions:

      Bring water to a boil and pour over tea bags.

      Steep 4 minutes.
    3. 3
      Squeeze and remove tea bags and discard.
    4. 4
      Chill tea overnight.
    5. 5
      If using fresh blueberries, place in freezer overnight.
    6. 6
      Place tea, blueberries, ice, yogurt, almonds, and flaxseed in blender.

      Process until smooth.

      I made 1/2 the amount serving 2 of us. Used hemp seeds in place of the flax. Loved starting my day with this nutritious drink. Thanks!

      Great healthy smoothie! My yogurt was frozen so I didn't use the ice cubes. I loved that this was fresh-tasting without being overly sweet. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

      Mmm mmm - great smoothie. My blender is not the greatest so I started with ground almonds instead of whole. Very nutritious pick-me-up, love the use of green tea.
