I'm enjoying a warm slice right now, and it is quite good. I used half whole-wheat flour, butter (a little less than called for) in place of shortening, golden raisins instead of nuts, and two (peeled) granny smith apples. The crisp sugar top really is good! Thanks for the quick & easy recipe!

Very nice! I made these as muffins, they did take about 20-25 minutes and came out so nice and moist! I used raw sugar with the cinnamon to sprinkle on top, just because I like the looks of it. These were really pretty and tasty muffins. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for posting!
