Whole family loved these! Even DS, who has gotten burned out on sun-dried tomatoes. I cut mine in eighths, as we like more in smaller sizes than fewer large ones. Used all the ingredients as listed, but I also had just under a half pound of bacon to use up. So, I trimmed it, diced it & cooked it before adding to the dry ingredients along with the sun-dried tomatoes. Thanks for posting, GailAnn! Made & enjoyed for ZWT-6 Team Xtra Hot Dishes! :)

These were great. We made little mini scones and served them up as appetizers with some garlic butter. The sundried tomato flavor was very nice and the mix of herbs worked well together. Our tomatoes were packed in oil with herbs so I cut back on the parsley and basil just a bit. Yummy!

Wonderful! This was my first attempt at scones, and they turned out beautifully. Great blend of flavors and so light and fluffy :) The only thing I will change next time is to break them down into 10-12 scones. 6 were quite large for us. Thanks for a great recipe! Made for ZWT6.

These are fantastic! I was nervous to make scones as I don't do so well with them but these were simple to make and tasty! I am saving this recipe in my folder tomake regularly as they add so much to the table in flavors. They look pretty too although mine need work on shape. I will make these often. Made with Stone Soup Ol' Fashioned Stone Soup for dinner. Thank you. Aus/NZ Jan 2010

YUM, YUM, YUM!!! These are truly OUTSTANDING scones! They have a very delicate, crumbly texture with a fluffy interior and crunchy crust. The taste is very balanced-all the different ingredients work very well together and make for a great flavour experience. I did not have any sun-dried tomato in the house, so I subbed some freshly chopped red bell peper for it, which worked out very well. These scones are very mediterranian, almost like pizza in a scone. :) THANKS SO MUCH for sharing these tasty treats with us, Gailann! Made and reviewed for 1-2-3-Hit-Wonders July 09.

These were so good, DH asked me, Did you buy these? Very easy to prepare, made exactly as directed. I got the fresh herbs from my garden. so quickly made, it doesn't have to be a weekend project! Lovely with butter, even better sandwiched with grated cheddar, a lovely savoury treat and good for you as well! Thank you for a 'keeper' recipe!

Ohhhh gailanng, the whole family loved this, the only change I made was to add about 2 tablespoon of finely grated parmesan cheese, only because I had about that left over from another recipe. We loved this, it made for a quick easy dinner with soup.......and so very delicous! This is a wonderful savoury scone or I think it was like an aussie damper..................whatever... ITS GOOD! Ohh I can stil tast the wonderful flavours........... A keeper for this family. Thanks gailanng.
